I have always had a passion for cars even before I could drive, I put this down to my dad who was always tinkering with cars in his younger days to keep motoring costs down. When I first met my wife to be, she said she didn't want a normal wedding, she wanted to arrive at the church in a TVR! This was my baptism into Blackpool's finest. This was quite a few years ago, and I still wonder if our hired red Chimaera T208 KAD is still around?
Well from that date I started saving for our own TVR, but with house purchase, gaining a stepson and our own daughter coming along it took a few years to save sufficient funds. Late in 2006 I had enough to purchase a Chimaera with power steering to allow my wife to drive it. Ten plus years on and I am even more passionate about TVRs and want to see them on the road being driven and admired not sitting in garages.
Over the past 10 years of Chimaera ownership most things have now been replaced or refurbished and with early retirement on offer it was time to purchase a Griffith as a project car to keep me busy. This was purchased in 2016 and is now the subject of a rolling repair and you read up on the latest progress in our monthly news letter. The Wiltshire region is very active putting on indoor events during the winter and drives out in the summer including continental tours. We are very friendly and welcome new members to come along to our events including wives, partners or girlfriends.
